What is Leadership Sandoval County?

Leadership Sandoval is people committed to enhancing the quality of life in Sandoval County by improving their knowledge of the community and increasing their leadership effectiveness. Associates develop and refine their leadership skills through an intense, nine-month educational experience.

During the program year, these participants explore current challenges facing Sandoval County and learn how to become agents of change. Upon completion, these new members become a part of a network of graduates who keep in touch with each other as they serve on boards and committees across the county.

Our Mission

Leadership Sandoval is an educational program established to ensure a continuum of leadership throughout the county. It provides a multi-disciplinarian forum for exchanging ideas and strategies that will develop and engage leaders who work together to serve the good of Sandoval County. The program will bring together leaders from all sectors and integrate them directly into the arena of community affairs.

“Leadership Sandoval County has been a great experience both personally and professionally. I have learned so much regarding the infrastructure and operations of our city as well as the county and how it operates. I feel more connected to my community and hope to continue to represent it well with my current employer. The relationships I have built with the leaders and participants of LSC 2015 will be invaluable in my future growth as a leader and professional.”    Erin Johnson-Kruft, Central New Mexico Community College, Workforce Training Center –  LSC Class of 2015

“Leadership Sandoval County is a great experience both professionally and personally. It’s a one of a kind opportunity appreciated by all who have attended. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the surrounding community, the struggles, and many successes. The sessions are well thought out and the education received within the classes is invaluable and long lasting. Most important are the relationships you build within the community with your fellow classmates, teammates, and community leaders.  HUGE Thank You to the entire team LSC volunteers!”
